HIGH YIELD REFINING PLANT

Corn Oil Refinery Plant

Engineered to convert crude corn germ oil into refined, RBD-grade corn oil trusted by clients across India and global markets for high-efficiency Corn Oil Refinery Plant and Corn Oil Processing Plant solutions.

Our Corn Oil Refinery Plant is purpose built to convert crude corn germ oil into a clear, stable, RBD grade product for clients across India and global markets. Corn oil is extracted from the germ of the maize kernel, and the crude oil that comes out of a Corn Germ Oil Plant still carries gums, free fatty acids, wax, and color pigments that make it unsuitable for direct edible use. Our Corn Oil Plant Refining Process moves crude oil through degumming, neutralization, bleaching, dewaxing, and deodorization in a carefully sequenced line, with winterization added as an optional final stage. What sets our system apart is a continuous dewaxing section built specifically for corn oil's naturally high wax content, since untreated wax can cause cloudiness and reduce shelf stability in the finished product. At the same time, our deodorization stage uses a multi tray, counter current design that strips odor and residual FFA while keeping steam consumption low, resulting in a Refined Corn Oil Plant output that meets edible oil quality standards batch after batch.

How Our Corn Oil Refinery Plant Works

Every stage of our Corn Oil Refinery Plant is engineered for maximum FFA removal, minimum oil loss, and consistent RBD grade output.

1

Degumming

Crude corn germ oil is heated and treated with a weak phosphoric acid solution to condition the gums and phospholipids, preparing them for separation before neutralization.

2

Neutralization

The degummed oil is treated with caustic soda, which reacts with free fatty acids to form soapstock. The soapstock is separated by centrifugation, and the neutral oil is given a hot water wash to remove any remaining traces of soap.

3

Bleaching

The neutralized oil is mixed with bleaching earth under vacuum and controlled temperature to adsorb color pigments, residual soap, and trace metals, which are then filtered out through pressure leaf filters.

4

Dewaxing

Since corn oil naturally contains a higher wax content than most vegetable oils, the bleached oil is cooled step by step through a series of crystallizers, allowing the wax to solidify. The wax crystals are then separated by filtration, a step essential for keeping the finished oil clear and cold stable.

5

Deodorization

The dewaxed oil is routed through a multi tray deodorizer, where high vacuum steam distillation strips out remaining odor compounds and trace FFA in a counter current flow, producing neutral, RBD grade Refined Corn Oil.

6

Winterization (Optional)

For customers who need a fully clear oil even under refrigeration, the deodorized oil is passed through an additional winterization stage that removes any residual solid fractions.

7

Final Output

The process delivers a clear, stable, RBD Corn Oil Plant output suited for edible cooking oil, food processing, and industrial applications

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common technical questions our clients ask about the Corn Oil Refinery Plant.

Q1. Why does corn oil need dewaxing when other vegetable oils don't?

expand_more

Corn germ oil naturally contains a higher wax content than most vegetable oils. If this wax is not removed, it crystallizes at low temperatures and causes cloudiness in the finished oil. Our dedicated dewaxing section cools the oil in stages to solidify and filter out this wax, keeping the final Refined Corn Oil Plant output clear and cold stable.

Q2. What is the difference between chemical and physical refining for corn oil?

expand_more

Chemical refining uses caustic soda to neutralize free fatty acids, forming soapstock that is separated by centrifugation. This is the more common route for corn oil due to its moderate to higher FFA content. Physical refining removes FFA through steam distillation instead, and can be configured where feed oil quality supports it.

Q3. What does RBD Corn Oil mean?

expand_more

RBD stands for Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized. It refers to corn oil that has passed through degumming, neutralization, bleaching, and deodorization, with dewaxing and winterization added where needed, resulting in a clear, stable, neutral tasting oil suitable for edible use.

Q4. Is winterization necessary for every Corn Oil Refinery Plant?

expand_more

No, winterization is an optional final stage. It is added when the customer needs oil that stays completely clear even under refrigeration, such as for salad oil applications. Standard RBD corn oil without winterization is suitable for general cooking and food processing use.

Q5. What plant capacities are available for corn oil refining?

expand_more

Super Techno Engineers offers Corn Oil Refinery Plant configurations from 50 TPD up to 1000 TPD, custom engineered to match your crude corn germ oil processing requirement.

Q6. Do you provide turnkey Corn Oil Refinery Plant projects?

expand_more

Yes. As a Corn Oil Refinery Plant Manufacturer, we handle the complete project from process engineering and equipment manufacturing to installation, commissioning, and after sales support, delivered as a single point Turnkey Corn Oil Refinery Plant solution.
