Boiler Ash Handling Conveyor
Heavy-duty Boiler Ash Handling Conveyor engineered for continuous ash removal, built as a reliable Ash Conveyor for Husk Fired Boiler systems in oil mill and solvent extraction plants.
Boiler Ash Handling System
Continuous Ash RemovalHusk-fired and biomass-fired boilers generate a steady flow of bottom ash that has to be removed without interrupting combustion. Manual ash removal means regular shutdowns, high labor cost, and dust exposure for plant staff. Super Techno Engineers' Boiler Ash Handling Conveyor pulls ash away from the boiler grate continuously, engineered around your boiler's firing rate and ash generation volume rather than sold as a generic off-the-shelf unit.
How Our Ash Handling Conveyor Works
Hot ash drops from the boiler grate into a water-filled trough at the base of our Submerged Ash Conveyor, where it is instantly quenched and cooled. A heavy-duty chain fitted with scraper flights then drags the cooled ash along the trough and up an inclined section to a collection point or storage bin.
The submerged design also acts as a water seal, stopping false air from entering the boiler through the ash discharge point, which keeps combustion efficiency stable.
For plants that prefer dry ash handling instead of a water trough, we also build a Drag Chain Ash Conveyor and Scraper Chain Ash Conveyor configuration, where flights mounted on a chain loop pull dry ash along an enclosed trough to the discharge end.

Ash Conveyor for Husk Fired Boiler
Most solvent extraction and oil mill plants run husk or biomass-fired boilers sized well below the scale of thermal power stations, so their ash handling needs are different too.
Our Ash Conveyor for Husk Fired Boiler applications is built for the lower, steadier ash volume typical of these boilers, not adapted from a large power plant submerged conveyor.
This keeps the conveyor compact enough to fit your existing boiler house layout while still handling ash without manual intervention.
Operational Capabilities
Proven Performance
No Manual Shutdown. Removes ash without stopping the boiler for manual cleaning cycles.
Water Seal Design. Submerged trough blocks air ingress at the ash discharge point, protecting combustion efficiency.
Alloy Steel Construction. Chain and flights built to handle abrasive ash with minimal maintenance.
Equipment Integrity
Build Quality
Chain and scraper flights are fabricated from high-tensile alloy steel to withstand continuous contact with hot, abrasive ash.
The trough is built from mild steel or stainless steel with wear-resistant lining at high-abrasion points for long operational life.
The submerged water seal section is designed to hold a consistent water level even as ash volume varies with boiler load.
Drive units use a geared motor, with VFD control available where you need to match conveyor speed to boiler firing rate.

Build Quality & Features
The scrubber shell and throat section are fabricated from mild steel, stainless steel, or FRP depending on the corrosiveness of the gas stream your boiler produces.
Internal components exposed to abrasive ash and acidic condensate are built with corrosion-resistant liners so the unit holds up under continuous heavy-duty operation.
The adjustable throat lets operators fine-tune pressure drop dynamically as the gas flow varies with the boiler load, keeping capturing efficiency consistently high.
The spray system is meticulously designed for even liquid distribution across the full gas cross-section, ensuring that no part of the flue gas flow bypasses treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
It removes bottom ash from the boiler grate continuously, so the boiler does not need to be shut down for manual ash cleaning.
A Submerged Ash Conveyor uses a water-filled trough to quench hot ash and seal against false air, while a Drag Chain Ash Conveyor moves dry ash through an enclosed trough without a water bath. The right choice depends on your boiler's ash temperature and available water supply.
Yes. Our Boiler Bottom Ash Conveyor systems are sized specifically for the ash volume and firing rate typical of husk and biomass-fired boilers used in oil mill and solvent extraction plants.
Routine checks cover chain tension, flight wear, and water seal level where applicable. Alloy steel construction keeps wear low compared to standard mild steel conveyors handling the same abrasive ash.
