High Yield Extraction Plant

Neem Solvent Extraction Plant

The Neem Solvent Extraction Plant is specially engineered to extract highly valued neem oil from pre-pressed neem cake. Neem oil is globally recognized for its active compound, azadirachtin, which is used extensively in organic farming as a biopesticide, as well as in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Because neem seeds possess a high oil content (up to 45%), they are first mechanically pressed. The remaining neem cake is then processed in our continuous solvent extraction plant using food-grade hexane. Our plant features specialized low-temperature miscella distillation to ensure the heat-sensitive azadirachtin is perfectly preserved in the extracted oil. Simultaneously, the Desolventizer Toaster gently treats the de-oiled meal, producing a premium organic neem cake fertilizer rich in macro and micro-nutrients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common technical queries about our Neem Solvent Extraction Plant

Q1. Why do we extract oil from neem cake instead of direct seeds?
expand_more

Neem seeds naturally possess a very high oil content (often 40-50%). To extract efficiently, they must first be pressed using mechanical expellers. The resulting neem cake, which still retains about 10-15% oil, is perfectly suited for our continuous solvent extraction plant.

Q2. Does the extraction process degrade the azadirachtin content?
expand_more

No. Azadirachtin is highly heat-sensitive, which is why our plant incorporates a specialized low-temperature, multi-stage distillation system under high vacuum. This ensures the active pesticidal compounds are preserved in the final crude neem oil.

Q3. What are the applications of the de-oiled neem cake?
expand_more

After solvent extraction and gentle desolventization, the de-oiled neem cake is extremely rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and active bio-compounds. It acts as an excellent organic fertilizer, soil conditioner, and natural nematicide in agriculture.

Q4. How efficient is the solvent recovery system?
expand_more

Our plant is equipped with highly efficient condensers and a zero-venting mineral oil absorption system. This closed-loop design ensures maximum safety and maintains solvent loss strictly below 2.0 liters per ton of processed material.

Q5. Is preparation required for the pre-pressed neem cake?
expand_more

Yes, the hard pre-pressed neem cake must be broken down using a cake breaker before feeding it into the extractor. Proper sizing is crucial for ensuring optimal solvent percolation and high oil recovery.

Q6. Can the same plant process other oil-bearing materials?
expand_more

Absolutely. Our solvent extraction plants are designed to be versatile. With minor parameter adjustments, you can use the same setup to process mustard, canola, soybean, and sunflower pre-pressed cakes.
