Deodorizer for Edible Oil Refinery
High-vacuum, steam-stripping systems engineered to strip odour, colour, and volatile impurities from bleached oil, delivering stable, neutral RBD oil across edible oil refineries. Super Techno Engineers builds these systems for consistent, low-maintenance performance.
Edible Oil Deodorization Equipment
(Deodorizing Tower & Auxiliary Units)
Deodorization is the final purification stage of edible oil refining. Bleached oil is heated under high vacuum and treated with sparging steam to strip away odour compounds, residual free fatty acids, and heat-sensitive impurities, while the oil itself stays behind as a stable, neutral, ready-to-package product. In a Super Techno Engineers system, oil is de-aerated, pre-heated through heat recovery, brought to peak deodorization temperature, held for a controlled retention time, then rapidly cooled and polish-filtered before it moves to storage or packaging. Every stage runs under vacuum to protect the oil from oxidation and to keep processing temperatures as low as effectively possible.
Steam Stripping & Thin-Film Deodorization
An effective deodorizer for edible oil refinery use depends on maintaining the right combination of temperature, vacuum, steam rate, and oil retention time. Our deodorizing tower has a dedicated stripping section and retention section, so operators can fine-tune contact time based on the crude oil's FFA level and the desired final colour and stability.
Thin-film distribution trays spread oil in a controlled layer as it descends through the column, maximizing contact between steam and oil for efficient stripping without overheating or degrading the product.

Vacuum-Tight Structural Integrity
Our edible oil deodorization equipment operates continuously under high vacuum and high temperature, so structural integrity is non-negotiable. The deodorizer column, economizer, and scrubber shells are fabricated from stainless steel or SS-clad carbon steel, fully welded and hydro or vacuum tested to eliminate air ingress that would otherwise compromise vacuum level and oil quality.
Internal trays, distribution plates, and steam spargers are built from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, engineered to withstand sustained operation at 220 to 260°C without warping or scale buildup.
"The insulated shell and precision-welded internals are designed to hold vacuum tight for years of continuous, round-the-clock deodorization without loss of process efficiency."

Engineered Features
The technical building blocks that make our systems reliable at scale.
Ensures maximum steam-to-oil contact for efficient odour and FFA stripping across continuous and batch processing cycles.
Pre-heats incoming oil using heat recovered from outgoing deodorized oil, cutting live steam use and reducing thermal energy demands significantly.
Maintains the steady low operating pressure required for gentle, low-temperature stripping, preventing oil darkening and thermal decomposition.
Recovers stripped volatiles and fatty acid distillate efficiently for further commercial use or safe disposal without environmental venting.
PLC-based monitoring keeps every batch or continuous run strictly within set process limits, eliminating operator guesswork and product variation.
Locks in oil stability immediately after deodorization, cooling under vacuum and polish-filtering to prevent re-oxidation before storage.

IMPLEMENTATION PROTOCOL
How We Work
Super Techno Engineers designs every system to match your bleached oil quality and capacity, ensuring stable, consistent RBD output.
Feed & Process Analysis
We evaluate your bleached oil's FFA content, colour, and required final specification to determine stripping steam rate, retention time, and column sizing.
Thermal & Vacuum Design
Our engineers calculate the optimum temperature profile, vacuum level, and economizer heat-recovery layout to balance oil quality against steam and utility consumption.
Fabrication & Vacuum Testing
The deodorizer column, economizer, and scrubber are welded, thoroughly vacuum-tested, and assembled before shipment and integration into your refinery line.
Case Studies & Endorsements
Industry Testimonials
"Our old deodorizer was struggling to hold vacuum and steam costs kept climbing. After switching to a Super Techno Engineers system, our FFA levels dropped consistently below 0.1% and the economizer cut our steam consumption noticeably within the first few months."

Frequently Asked Questions
A batch deodorizer for edible oil suits smaller refineries with capacity under 20-30 TPD, processing oil in fixed lots. An edible oil deodorization system that runs continuously moves oil through the column non-stop, offering better efficiency and consistency for larger, high-volume operations.
Our edible oil deodorizer machine typically operates between 220°C and 260°C under high vacuum, striking a balance between effective stripping and protecting the oil from thermal degradation.
The tower uses steam stripping. Live steam passed through heated oil under vacuum carries away volatile odour compounds and free fatty acids, which are then condensed and recovered in the scrubber unit.
Yes. It can be supplied as a standalone retrofit unit or as part of a complete edible oil refinery deodorization plant alongside degumming, neutralization, and bleaching sections.
We offer configurations from 10 TPD for small and mid-scale refineries up to 1000+ TPD for large, continuous commercial edible oil deodorization plants.
Economizer-based heat recovery pre-heats incoming oil using heat already present in outgoing deodorized oil, significantly cutting the live steam and fuel needed to reach deodorization temperature.
